Moving Asheville Forward
I will be a voice for the everyday people who live and work here. My campaign is focused on making housing affordable and available, providing better jobs and higher wages for our workers, and improving how we move around our city.
As the daughter of working class parents, I was the first person in my family to go to college. I took on significant debt to obtain my education. In 2008, I graduated with a Master’s in Architecture just as the financial markets collapsed and the economy plunged into recession. Like many in my generation, my family has moved around a lot to find work. For the past five years, I’ve worked a shift job. Like many Ashevillians, my family has struggled to pay rent, buy a home, and make ends meet. These are the experiences that guide my campaign. I will be a voice for Asheville’s workers.
